Lara is a UKCP accredited Psychotherapist and has been in private practice in different clinical capacities since 2008. A lot of her work is with young adolescents as well as adults. Clinical focus is on: trauma, relationship difficulties, depression, anxiety, addictions, LGBT+ (lesbian gay bisexual trans + or other) for gender, sexuality and relationship diversity therapy work, low self-esteem and body issues, PTSD, grief, bereavement and loss.
"From an early age I roamed in nature that provided a safe container and consistency that wasn't available in the family context. I have incorporated my long love for nature and animals into my work and have found this to be a unique and powerful tool in the psychotherapy work with my clients. I am passionate about making therapeutic support more accessible in this way. If someone cannot travel physically to the Heath, I offer online or 'distance' walking therapy sessions."
